  Resouceco

Resourceco’s initial operations involved the crushing and recycling of concrete using mobile equipment. By the mid 1990’s the company had established a fixed crushing plant at Wingfield to receive and crush concrete from the Adelaide construction and demolition market. Resourceco now employs over 70 personnel and has an annual turnover in excess of $20 million.

From its early days the company has worked closely with State Government Authorities to develop standard specifications for recycled road pavement materials. These materials are now widely accepted alongside traditional quarry products in the South Australian civil construction industry.

Continued research and development has ensured that Resourceco remains at the forefront of recycling technology. New products are constantly being developed to help reduce the amount of waste going to landfill. Resourceco is also a major recycler of ferrous and non-ferous metals which are salvaged from recycling operations.

Resourceco has developed a new division to recycle C&D and Commercial and Industrial (C&I) waste. This division sources material from building sites and general industry. A joint venture business has been formed with Adelaide Brighton Limited called “The Alternative Fuel Company” and has the role of supplying alternative fuels.

The fuel is burnt in cement kilns during the cement making process which reduces the amount of natural gas required. Trials to date have shown that alternative fuels can be used in lieu of natural gas with a decrease in the amount of emissions produced.

The company has recently updated its fleet of mobile crushing plants and now operates Australia wide. These plants operate in a variety of applications including quarries, mines and recycling.
